GEARWRENCH 10 Pc. 3/8 Inch Drive 6 Pt. Deep Universal Impact Socket Set, Metric - 84924N
malik mursaleen here this time with the review of the map a professional ten piece metric deep well the universal impact socket set I did want to mention that I didn't realize that these spinning collars were actually sold so much cheaper online the NAP is really charging a big premium they're not charging quite as much of a premium on these impact sockets but I was really surprised to see that this is 35 on the shelf 28 when I got it on sale and therefore like eight or ten bucks online really surprised and people were writing it actually isn't the sticker it looks like the contract manufacturer actually made these and then sold a bunch of access that they made and whatever reseller you know sell them on Holi bop or something actually ground off the logo it wasn't sticker they removed they've actually those and maybe one of my subscribers who orders one of those will let me even know but it looks like data straight took a grinder tool so I thought that was kind of odd anyway I picked these sockets up at the same time at I picked up this I this ah Universal swivel sockets are pretty nice they're really handy to use with not just normal mpacts but to use with speed handles but when I saw the spinning collar I thought it would be a nice short version of a speed handle to use along with these sockets these with that 20% triple-a discount we're still about a hundred and ten dollars so NAPA tools are more expensive but it's ten piece metric three-eighths inch drive deep well swivel impact socket set seem to be around you know eighty ninety bucks or so for soon axes or gear wrenches so it's not too much worse one of the nice things about napa is not just the selection but they tend to have a lot of shops and much more rural areas kind of like dairy queens the first fast-food in a row area napa tends to be the first auto parts store so they are really accessible and so I like the idea of being able to easily return these they did it appear to be made by the same company that actually makes the power belt so I looked the soon X is I actually have an S K here so they're not made by any of those manufacturers but I kind of like the design people said that the style of the spring sometimes the springs do come off so this is a pretty thick steel collar that's just pressed over to the pin design this is not using the hex socket design people say that it is pretty robust and lasts long time but they just don't operate as smoothly as these traditional pin type and they definitely did oil these very well so for instance with these the speed collar you can use a t-handle on there and what's kind of nice is that you can stretch the t-handle break the fastener put it back into the center section and with the swivel socket you don't have to be traight on and then you can just really spin it out super fast and that was the big idea with this setup as far as how these sockets are built they are how you would expect they have a fluted drive the impact is both through pin with the ittle undercut so you can use a traditional locking rings which I almost never see they are six point and they are indeed fluted on the drive these are chrome and lead diem sockets they are Taiwanese and they really do have a consistent build quality they do have some knurling here but it's really more cosmetic it's not aggressive enough to really give you a lot of extra grip on the socket and I wish they would have done that they do laser etching the lower section as well as physically Rahl stamp on the upper section and I like the additional role stamping these it doesn't wear out this being a 10 piece it is 10 through 19 millimeters no skips I believe they do have a 12 piece set that would be versus maybe our true complete 15 piece set which would go from 18 to 22 millimeters 10 the 19 is really a nice set now these are deep wells but I would consider these maybe more along the lines of the mid-wales now a while ago I did a review the O'Reilly power torque 3 since Drive deep well flex impacts and I just didn't like how they operated and that they weren't they didn't provide any advantage over just putting a deep well socket on ace impact swivel they were both combinations this and those power torques were the same length so it just it didn't make any sense I ended up giving those away what I mean my mid length is that we can see that versus like a traditional standard deep well and this is also in three eighths they're just a bit shorter and if we put it right next to the bottom where we'd mount we can see that it is quite a bit shorter almost an inch shorter about the same difference from a standard short well impacts level these this happens to be in SK if we can do that here I mean maybe I should just put them all all three of them together like this and it'll be easier to see the kind of the size difference and then that's the advantage here and so you have a short well and then with these you have a mid well and then you can just use this combination for a little bit more of an extension and once again is part of step building what I really like to do and this is even using a shorter more compact Mac the universal extension now I did do some measurements with some calipers and these being Taiwanese they are pretty good they should last pretty well but they're not going to be as goodas a real nice professional grade like these american-made s case what I found is the S case of this outer diameter they have a little bit of a thinner wall they use a different steel it's part of the expense of the S case so the S case will fit in a little bit tighter spot than these will and you can just see how much wall thickness this is about three quarters of an inch or nineteen millimeters outer diameter or 745 thousandths and the SK was 687 thousandths or about a 17 millimeters so significantly smaller in that direction also the body on these Napa's is pretty thick it does seem like it's going to be quite heavy duty but it is a little bit larger the body on the SK right here around the ring is one inch and 5,000 so almost exactly an inch where it's about a sixteenth of an inch bigger so the diameter of this one is a little bit bigger than SK so the SK is gonna fit in tighter spots but of course a set like this from SK would also probably set you back 250 $300 so really even paying 110 I think it's a pretty good value and it's not bad off of going online and you know saving 20 or 30 bucks at least I was able to get these in the store gonna get instant satisfaction they did come in this plastic tray it's pretty flimsy I do act recommend and they have going with a socket strip but we can see that at least what's nice is they have really good consistency between all these sockets it's at least they're pretty satisfying and it's really like we're places you know I do tons of Harbor Freight reviews where Harbor Freight SAR really starting to hurt because they've been operating their tools but it's been a long time since they've really expanded the selection install a lot of kind of basic stuff I houldn't say entirely basic but it'd be nice to start seeing sockets like these from them and see how they even hold up compared to some of these Napa ones maybe someday anyway just wanted to do this review and really do like the fact that they are this in-between on and mid well size it's really kind of satisfying because it does help complete my sentence since I only have a rudimentary kind of just basic entry-level 3/8 set it's really nice to start to fill it out I'm just kidding of course any way I really appreciate everybody watching and following and if you haven't followed please do until next time Gatiss maximus out.
