 all right everyone so for a while now

I've wanted to do a review and particularly comparison review between two German Guardian products and I actually paid for both these products myself because I was really interested in purifying our air in seeing you know how much crap is in our air specifically during the summer months with pollen and just to kind of see what the air quality is in our home so I'm going to go over these two units so the first one I have over here is model number EC 48 25 and this one R and me about $90 and the features on this are a 3-speed fan setting as well as a UV light so if we go ahead and pop this one on it has the three settings in an analog dial and the neat thing about this like I said is the UV which when you click it on it has this really neat looking ring is kind of a conversation starter people are always asking what that is on what this is all about it sucks the air in from the back pushes it out the front it is like I say it's relatively quiet so the lowest setting is here the next big hest is clicked up and the third setting so it does get kind of loud so go ahead and we will shut this off again this one is a little bit less expensive these two use the same exact filter so that's kind f nice if I go ahead and spin it around here you will see there is a charcoal pre-filter and if we pop this out charcoal filter velcroed on and this is the actual HEPA filter so there's a few different stages of cleaning they actually say three so this is two and then the UV is a third level of filtering out anything nasty that's in the air so UV is meant to kill you know germs bacteria in the air and this is going to catch the actual like pollen dust things floating around in the air so as you can see this is already you know getting a little bit full of stuff this is only about a month old and what you want to look at is this black outer ring here in this section is nice and black and then this is where the air goes through all that nasty stuff you'd be breathing in and I actually have a picture of a before and after on the filter after six months of use so we'll go ahead and we'll click this back in again the system up 80 is $90 for this the unit here and I do like it it is nice but this does not do a big area so our house is relatively small I say we're lucky if it does you know our family room and dining room but we wanted something for our bedroom and something a little bit quieter so this is the lowest setting you can still easily hear it it does have a smooth fan sound which is kind of nice it is just a gentle world and it's not you know anything about just there's no ticking it's very consistent white noise which is very good for sleeping this one here is model number CD AP 4500 BC and the the reason I got this one is this will actually, connect to Amazon Alexis, I can control this just with my voice, I'm using the echo which is pretty cool the other neat feature is we'll go ahead and we'll turn it on and it has a little ring on the front so what I'm gonna do here is I'm actually gonna take the camera I'm going to show you what it looks like on the top and you see that particulate number it's showing 43 and for anything zero to a hundred you get a green ring I think about a hundred to two hundred is an orange ring don't quote me on the exact number and then you think two hundred plus you get a red ring and if this fan speed is in automatic mode it will actually bump the fan speed up as this particulate matter number jumps so that is a really cool feature it also comes with a timer a link button to get initially set up to your Wi-Fi and then this also has a UV mode so if we click that you'll see the little UV light kicks on turn it off it this is the the lowest speed setting so the big The difference between these is this one is whisper quiet you cannot hear this I mean it's so quiet on setting one so listen to that and then I'll shut this off turn this on to the lowest setting so I'm not sure if the microphones gonna pick that up but this one is probably twice as loud is this on its lowest setting so again we'll go ahead and actually what I'll do this time is we will load the app which is also neat features so I can from anywhere in the orld control the air purifier or see what the air is doing in the house so it takes a second to load up and you can see it's kind of spinning there and this is what the app looks like so right now it shows that the unit is off so we will go ahead and kick the power on and it's pretty quick there is about I'd say a three to five second delay on this to show the correct particulate matter on the screen so again you can control things like turn off the UV and again that was prayed about three seconds and it was good to go click get into Auto and since the air in this house is clean as you notice we have hardwood floors the lowest this will go is three so again I've had these for six months now and I've been extremely pleased with the performance of them and the consistency in the sound which is really a big thing for me if you want to use these for white noise or you're gonna have them on most people have these on when they're sleeping these things are awesome nice and quite nice and consistent we've had a lot of fans in our bedroom and after a few months, it seems like they develop a tic or they get out of balance hese so far have been fantastic and again that particulate matter we've fried bacon and this thing will go through the roof in this number and it'll turn red and it kicks a fan speed way up it's pretty cool it does shoot the air out the sides on this so if you've got a little bit more money to spend I would recommend this just with all the extra features if you are going to use your cell phone to connect remotely and even for a bedroom, I mean this ring is a they're bright that might be one complaint if you know you don't like light in your room when you're sleeping you may want to just tape this off but otherwise, you can't go wrong with either one and it's just a matter of you know what features are important to you.
